Pulwama Terror Attack & Retaliation by India

As everyone is well aware of Pulwama terror attack by Jais- e- Mohammed (Jem) a terrorist organization based on Pakistan and carrying on terror activities by its commander in chief Maulana Massood Azhar. On 14 February 2019, more than 42 soldiers were died by the terrorist attack in Pulwama led by Massood  Azhar organization.

Now after 12 days that is on 26 February 2019, the Indian government made a second surgical strike on terrorist organization of (Jem) which is situated in Balakot in Pakistan. If these terrorist groups like (Jem) and others would not be stopped then these terrorist organizations would create a disastrous situation for the whole world.

The country like Pakistan can play a leading role in countering terrorism as there are many terrorist groups and organizations which are surviving in Pakistan like (Jem) organization, Hafiz Sayeed organization and many more. There are many instances when it has been proved that Pakistan based terrorist groups involved in many terror activities in India as well as outside the world, for instance, 9/11 in Newyork attack on Parliament in India and hijack of the aeroplane by the terrorist groups shows that these activities possess danger to the whole world.

Pakistan Should understand that any activity which is inhuman and causes damage to property and peaceful environment, would not going to help any country in any way. Even there are many instances when Pakistan himself felt the need to stop terrorist activities and funding to these terrorist organization. One instance when terrorist attacked in a school situated in Pakistan and killed more than 116 innocent children. Pakistan must understand that at the end of the day these terrorist organizations would not spare Pakistan too.

Government Of India's stand after Pulwama Attack

Since after attack on Pulwama, India withdrew the most favoured nation (MFN) status accorded to Pakistan. What is MNF? Article 1 of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), 1994 requires every WTO member to the country to accord MFN status to all other member countries. After MFN  India is also taken this matter to International terror financing watchdog, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided to keep Pakistan on its grey list. This was decided at its week-long plenary meeting held in Paris. It means downgrading of the country by institutions like IMF, World Bank and European Union.

If Pakistan will clear its stand within October this year whether the country would either comply with the demands made by FATF members or it could be blacklisted. Blacklisting will prevent institutions like IMF from financially supporting Pakistan.

Government of India has listed out the details of the projects being implemented by India to stop the flow of water to Pakistan belongs to India. Under the Indus, the system comprises the Indus river Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, and Sutlej. The basin is mainly shared by India and Pakistan with a small share for China and Afghanistan.

Under the Indus water treaty signed between and Pakistan in 1960, all the waters of three rivers, mainly Ravi, Sutlej and Beas ( eastern rivers ) were allocated to India for exclusive use. On the other hand water of western rivers - Indus, Jhelum and Chenab were allocated to Pakistan except for specified domestic, non-consumptive and agricultural use permitted to India but, India uses very less amount of water from these rivers and a large amount of water transfer to Pakistan. Now after Pulwama attack, several constructions of a dam in these rivers being made to stop water from flowing to Pakistan.

As everyone knows that peace is the only way through which a nation can be developed and become prosperous. By promoting peace and harmony we can handover this world to our next generation, Pakistan and terrorist organizations should understand that at the end of the day, they have to follow the path of peace and just manner. As terrorism and related activities, which promotes inhuman activities, would not lead us anywhere, instead they misguide our younger generation that would be disastrous for humanity.
