One day when I went to one of my oldest friend home to met him after a long period. We were having a conversation on our changing infrastructure, welfare schemes by the government and emerging the role of technology in governance. Then my friend instantly asked me a question "don't you think our government is relying more on unmanned services rather services by men". This question of my friend compelled me to investigate and inspect what are the reasons, why the government is having more trust in technology rather technology developer.

I went back in history to investigate from where science and technology originated. From my search, I found that the western countries were the originator, innovator and developer of the technology. They developed technology to enhance their work culture, speedy completion of work and to ease their life by increasing the use of technology. One more thing, technology is developed by humans it might have some faults but they never lie, late and corrupt these characteristics possess by technology only, the human did not lack these traits but they fail sometimes to deliver their services on time, but technology never.

In the case of India, it is totally different, yeah we could say that India too, uses technology improve her way of working style and want to move at the same pace as other countries of the world.

In fact, India is one of the largest country provides IT services to the whole world under its Information and Technology sector. But the recent trend of the government to eliminate the middlemen while delivering welfare services of the state to poor and deprived people is really exemplary and required appreciation. The most essential thing is earlier when the government allocate financial assistance (money) to the welfare of citizens, it never reached to the needy peoples instead middlemen including public servants used some amount of money for their personal purposes and needy peoples get the only penny of their share.

Earlier government officials used to harass micro and small industrialists in the name of filing income tax returns, now the government has transformed all the works related to filing income tax to the unmanned authority which was earlier performed by humans. This gives positive results as when businesspersons would not get harassed by these officials they would not pay the extra bribe and they will pay their dues timely which help the country to grow faster.

Now I am coming to my friend question " why the government is relying more on technology".I have mentioned one reason that is corruption, which forced the government to rely on technology rather than humans. Other reasons could be since the world has entered the 21st century where technology like artificial intelligence, Robotics and Unmanned services are on top agendas of economic excellence of every country of the world. Everyone giving their 100 per cent to achieve economic excellence by using technological tools and their services.


Technology not only helps us to achieve economic strides, but it also helps us to surveillance on our rival countries of military capacities, detects and collect information of very secret areas which could help us to find which country is our friend and which is acting as a friend in front of the curtain and behaving like adversaries behind the curtain.

Recently, there was a report by Moody Analysts, a business and financial services company and is also a credit rating agency reported that after 2030 eighty per cent of world jobs derived from technology sectors and which cover almost every sector from health to aeronautics, if need job he/ she has to be equipped with technological knowledge.

Some specific technologies are Artificial Intelligence which is becoming increasingly commonplace in business and consumers lives. It requires skill like machine learning and natural language processing skill, strategic thinking, time management and organizational skill as well as knowledge of AI application programming. Similarly, there are other technologies like Bussiness Intelligence Analysts, Cloud Architect, Data specialists (web and software developer), Security professional having knowledge of data, information, network system and cloud.


Technology has made our society ignorance to the fact that there might be a day when our technology does not work, they cannot, at the moment, live without it. We have grown to rely on our technology to make our lives easier. If our technology has to go away, our lives would be really tough for a while until everyone learned to live without it.

I agree technology made our lives easier eliminated old jobs and created new jobs which require new skills and expertise. One thing we have to keep in my mind that humans have developed technology, not technology have developed humans, so give more weightage to humans rather technology. Adopt it as our need and let not it become our greed or addiction.
