Communalism and Indian Politics
Historian said that communalism laid its base from the time of medieval period (history) of India, during the rules of Turks, Afghans and Mughals.
As British historian also gave their contribution for the promotion of communalism in India, as they refer medieval period of Indian history as Muslim rule. They mentioned that during the medieval era all Muslim were the rulers and all Hindus were ruled but the actual scenario was different during the medieval period there was no communalism, peoples of Muslim classes (poor ones) exploited same as Hindus. So there was not having any reasonable points to say that communalism arouses during the medieval period.
They used the politics of 'divide and rule'. They used religion as a weapon to fulfil the need of the company, in fact, to fulfil the industrial need of Britain to use India as an exporter of raw material.
They used the force of Communalism to stabilise their own politics in India. They arouse Communalism at that extent, the nation comes at the verge of 'two-nation theory' or system or partition. British Raj played a very important role in partitioning India as well as for Communalism.
These political parties even don't know that whatever hatred they spreading at this stage, the future generation has to pay a lot for it. They are not dividing us on religious basis but they dividing our society, our culture, our language, our way of living etc. If they would not be stopped at this moment, then India will pay a very high price for it in future.
But such types of activities mislead our youths towards the wrong path. So the best way forward is to improve constitutional institutions like the Supreme Court and choose a secular government, that leads the nation towards the path of secularism instead of spreading the communal ideology. The only secular government will look, economic policy, political policy and promote the welfare of each section of society.
